Barry Kozak is a Consultant at October Three Consulting, LLC, and works out of their Chicago office. He is in charge of their age-friendly business consulting services, which includes Phased Retirement programs; Financial Wellness and Retirement Readiness education; Support services for employees who are caregivers for aging parents and siblings; and Including “age” in Diversity statements and mitigating ageism within the workforce.
Barry holds academic appointments at The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, where he teaches classes in their LLM in Estate Planning program, and at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he teaches classes in Elder Law and in Financing an Ageing Population, and where he had been named a Distinguished Scholar in Residence for 2017.
Barry has earned his law degrees (a JD and a LLM in Employee Benefits) from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago; and his Master’s degree from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy Studies, where he specialized in taxation and public finance. Barry has earned the following Professional Designations throughout his career: Attorney, Enrolled Actuary, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Certified Pension Consultant, and has very recently passed 2 of the 3 exams needed for the Retirement Income Certified Professional designation.
